Start your tour in Tavira with the highlight of the Roman bridge, icon of this twon and visit the Islamic Archaeological Exhibition.

There, with your guide, discover five centuries of Islamic occupation in the Algarve and see part of the old islamic wall. The Tavira Jug, which is also featured in this exhibition, is unique in the world and is one of the town's treasures.

You will walk through the small streets of the old town to the Church of Santa Maria. The church was built in the thirteenth century after the Christian reconquest of the town from the Moors to replace the old Arab mosque that existed in that same place.
